Caleb Williams reaffirmed on Friday that he plans to play with his USC Football teammates in the Cotton Bowl, and play the whole game without any restrictions (see embedded tweet below). Williams' status was particularly up in the air early in Cotton Bowl preparation due to him popping his hamstring in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Williams' health will be crucial for SC's chance to win the Cotton Bowl, as the QB is the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner. Williams won the Heisman this year after collecting 4,447 total yards (4,075 passing) and 47 total touchdowns (37 passing) on the season. He only threw four interceptions, and averaged 9.1 yards per pass attempt to go along with 10.3 adjusted yards per pass attempt.

Former USC Football Head Coach Steve Sarkisian lost yet again this past week in the Alamo Bowl; making it his fifth loss on the season. Texas went 8-5 under Sark this year, which is just under the winning percentage that Sarkisian had in his two years at USC (Sarkisian went 12-6 at SC). Sarkisian dropped to 13-12 as the Longhorns' head coach.

So far, Sarkisian has not improved as a head coach from his disappointing days with the Trojan football program, despite idiotic USC haters claiming that head coaches improve after leaving USC. To their disappointment, no former USC head coach that's still coaching (Lane Kiffin, Sarkisian, and Clay Helton) finished with a better record than 8-5 this season.

USC Basketball is undefeated in Pac-12 conference play this year, but they are technically in second place in the Pac-12 standings. That's because they are currently 3-0 in conference play, while Utah is 4-0. So therefore, the Trojans are tied for second with a 3-0 conferene record (along with UCLA).

SC will have a chance, however, to also be 4-0 with a win tonight (Sunday night) against the lowly Washington State Cougars. The issue, however, is that the game is far away from home over in Pullman. They will be tied for first in the Pac with Utah, however, if they win it. The Cougs are 5-9, so it is a winnable game despite being on the road.
