USC Football has its biggest game of the year on Saturday, against the No. 15 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. SC comes in at No. 6, and they are favored in the game, but one would be kidding themelves to assume that ND isn't going to be fighting harder than they have all season to get the W here.

They would want NOTHING more than to spoil the Trojans' College Football Playoff hopes in the last regular season game of the year. The Irish have had a disappointing season up to this point, coming into the game at 8-3. They were 11-2 last season, so clearly they have regressed since they made a new head coaching hire (Marcus Freeman).

Since USC has made a new head coaching hire (Lincoln Riley), the opposite has taken place. They enter this game at 10-1. They were 4-8 last season, so clearly SC is on an absurd trajectory. And again, this is going to mean that the Fighting Irish are going to throw everything at USC to try to flip the momentum dynamic that the two teams are looking at right now.

Clearly, this is a game nobody should miss. It's one of the biggest rivalries in college football. Therefore, if anyone reading this can't make the game and/or doesn't have access to a TV, make sure to get a free trial to FuboTV at this link, so that they can see the contest via a live stream.

And if everyone seeing the game sees a USC Football win, they just might see SC in the College Football Playoff this year.

That's because if USC Football beats Notre Dame, they'll be 11-1 going into the PAC-12 Championship Game (which they already clinched). If they win that, it looks like they'll likely be in the CFP.

Why? Because there has never been an 11-1 Conference Champion to miss the College Football Playoff when their one loss was to a ranked team. SC's was to Utah, who was ranked 20th at the time and even 14th now.

Next. Predictions for rest of USC Football season. dark

Again, this game has MAJOR implications on how far the Trojans can go this year, and what they achieve. It's going to be must-see TV, and the biggest USC-Notre Dame game since 2006.
