USC Football: Jordan Addison and Ralen Goforth to return, others game-time decisions
By Nicholas Burmood
As USC Football prepares for their matchup with Colorado on a short week, Head Coach Lincoln Riley met with media members on Thursday and confirmed the status of four injured players. Wide Receiver Jordan Addison and linebacker Ralen Goforth are set to return against Colorado.
Linebacker Eric Gentry and Wide Receiver Mario Williams will remain a game-time decision. It should be noted usually, when Riley terms a player as a "game-time" decision, that player tends not to be available come kickoff time. It would be ideal for the Trojans to get most of their injured players back on the field against Colorado so they can log game reps before the highly anticipated Crosstown Rivalry matchup against 12th-ranked UCLA next week.
Addison, who has missed the past two games, still maintains his status as the number-one receiving target for an explosive Trojans offense. Addison has paced the passing game with 39 catches for 585 yards and seven touchdowns.
USC Football's offense has been able to cope with Addison's absence, scoring 43 points per game without him or Williams in the lineup.
USC Football's defense has struggled since the second half of the Utah game and remains the most scrutinized side of the ball. Colorado serves as a "get right" game for the defense, and getting a key piece back to add to its depth at linebacker will be critical to building the Trojans' confidence as they enter the final three games of the season.
USC hosts Colorado at 6:30 PM at the LA Coliseum on Friday night.
