USC Football was just announced to have both the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. Both were easy selections, as they both were named First-Team All-Americans this season. Williams is even in line to win the Heisman Trophy. Obviously, the best player in college football is the best player in the Pac-12.

Williams completed 66.1% of his passes for 4,075 passing yards this season. That's a stellar 9.1 pass yards per attempt average, and a 10.3 adjusted yards per pass attempt average. Tossing 37 touchdowns and only throwing four picks, he's exactly the type of quarterback any offense can use. That's especially the case when he also added 10 more touchdowns in the ground game (47 total).

He was very effective in the running game, totaling 372 rushing yards to add to what he brought in the passing game. Williams led the entire Pac in pass touchdowns, total touchdowns, pass yards per attempt, and adjusted pass yards per attempt.

This team was 4-8 last year before he headed here via the transfer portal this past offseason. He raised the Trojans up to an 11-1 season--a SEVEN win improvement. He's also earned them a top 10 College Football Playoff Top 25 ranking and trip to the Cotton Bowl.

It's not just USC Football QB Caleb Williams that deserved his honor, however, but also Tuli Tuipulotu.

Caleb Williams was the right selection for Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, but USC Football's best defensive player in Tuli Tuipulotu was also the right selection for Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.

Tuipulotu had 44 tackles despite playing a significant amount of snaps at tackle, and also had 21 tackles for loss. He even had 12.5 sacks on the season, and had a few pass break-ups as well. Forcing a couple of fumbles for the Trojans, he did everything for this program. Tuipulotu led not just the Pac-12, but the entire Power 5 in tackles for loss. He led the entire COUNTRY in sacks.

Next. Predictions for rest of USC Football season. dark

Tuipulotu and Williams are not only the best players on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for USC. They're also not only the best players on the offensive and defensive side of the ball in California. They're also the best players on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for the entire Pac-12 Conference, which was one of the two best conferences in college football this year.
