USC basketball will have to avenge the loss that kept them from winning the regular-season Pac-12 title with Utah as their first conference tournament opponent.

The Pac-12 Tournament has delivered a juicy first matchup for USC basketball.

Thanks to Utah's victory over Washington, 98-95, on Wednesday in the first round, the Utes will battle the Trojans on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. PT.

For USC, it'll be a grudge match as their earlier loss to Utah in Salt Lake City prevented their first Pac-12 regular-season title since 1985.

The good news for USC? This time they will be meeting in Las Vegas instead of in Salt Lake City. They'll also be facing a team that just expended a bunch of energy to see of the Huskies. Washington was down 17 at one point but fought back to make it close in the end.

USC's Pac-12 Tournament odds

The Trojans are the third favorite to win the tournament, trailing Oregon and Colorado.

The Ducks won the Pac-12 title while Colorado delivered one of the losses that kept USC in second.

The Trojans would potentially face Colorado in the semifinals if both go through. They could only see Oregon in the final.

All Hail Evan Mobley

Evan Mobley is one of the most decorated players in USC basketball history. The freshman stud swept the Pac-12 awards as the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Freshman of the Year.

The tweet speaks for itself. No one in the Pac-12 has ever done what Mobley just did.

Congratulations are also in order for head coach Andy Enfield, who was voted Coach of the Year, and Tahj Eaddy, who made the All-Pac-12 Second Team.

What else can this Trojan team win this year? We'll find out as they go through the postseason with plenty still to prove.
