Unfortunately, the team not playing the strongest schedule keeps them at just No. 16 in the AP poll, but it could be worse. We could be Oregon State, who is somehow 3-22.
They are at home today, and they actually played SC pretty tough last time (don't let the final score totally fool you), but if USC loses to Oregon State, they've got problems. The last time the Trojans played in Corvallis, they took an L. If the Beavs come away with this, it will be a major program-building win for OSU.
USC Trojans vs. Oregon State Odds: Line, Spread, Over/Under
The spread for the game today is -10.5 USC. The money line is sitting at -575 Trojans and +425 Beavers.
The over/under is 139.5. It's -115 to take the over, and -105 to take the under.
USC Trojans vs. Oregon State Prediction Thursday
While Oregon State did beat the Trojans in Corvallis last year, they were a much better team than they've shown this year. To be fair, SC isn't as good this season as they were last year either, but they will have a healthy Isaiah Mobley playing tonight. They had him playing last game (and we didn't look all that great), but he was able to knock the cob webs off from missing some time, and the team in general will play better tonight.
After all, SC has still beat Oregon State in nine of their last 12 games. They're holding their opponents to the sixth-worst field goal percentage in the country (37.5%), and that always puts them in a good position to win the games they're supposed to win.
