USC football stud WR1 Jordan Addison and USC football stud LT Andrew Vorhees just received preseason first-team All-American honors from Sporting News. There's no arguing it.
These two were already among the best at their positions last year, including Addison being the best. Bill Bender was easily able to defend his Addison selection:
"Addison won the Biletnikoff Award last season... Addison racked up 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 TDs and is a surefire first-round pick in waiting if that continues. He joins coach Lincoln Riley at USC, and the connection with Caleb Williams at quarterback should lead to another fantastic season. "Bill Bender, Sporting News
It wasn't just Jordan Addison who Bender expects to be the best at his position, but also USC football LT Andrew Vorhees.
Jordan Addison is likely USC football's best player, but Andrew Vorhees is a close runner-up. Bender did a good job laying out why Vorhees is his pre-season All-American selection as well:
"Vorhees scored higher than 90 percent on both pass and run blocking according to Pro Football Focus last season. He's a redshirt senior who played guard and tackle last season for the Trojans, and his 6-6, 325-pound frame is getting first-round attention at the next level."Bill Bender, Sporting News
Bender couldn't have said it any better. To rotate from left guard and left tackle last season and only give up ONE sack all year speaks to how dominant of a player he is. Having these two in a Lincoln Riley offense is a perfect match.
Not to mention, they have a top three signal-caller in Caleb Williams leading the offense between the white lines. With Travis Dye in the backfield, they truly have all the most important pieces necessary for a dominant offensive season. If USC gets in a shootout, don't bet against USC to win the game.
