Welcome back to the Heisman House Reggie Bush, it has been a long time coming!
Each new college football season brings so many things, which also includes many new commercials. One of the more anticipated commercials that fans are excited to see is the Nissan Heisman House commercials welcoming the newest Heisman Trophy winner into the fold.
In the offseason, USC legend Reggie Bush had his 2005 Heisman Trophy reinstated after he forfeited it in 2010. So in this year's Nissan Heisman House commercial, while they welcome the newest trophy winner, former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, they also "unfroze" Bush.
Bush forfeited his trophy back in 2010 in the wake of significant NCAA sanctions for USC, which included Bush getting improper benefits throughout his college career from 2003 to 2005.
In April of 2024, the Heisman Trust returned Bush's trophy and a replica of one to USC and stated that Bush would be invited to future Heisman Trophy ceremonies. The decision to return the trophy to Bush came because of the big change in the college football landscape. Once players were able to make NIL money, Bush started campaigning for the reinstatement of his trophy.
In the commercial, when Daniels is being taken through the house, he comes across a cryotherapy room, adn when he presses the button, Bush is defrosted and comes out stating he "lost track of time in there."
Bush then goes around and sees some of the things he has missed in the Heisman House and in the world of college football including robots, TikTok videos by the mascots, and virtual reality. Most importantly, he is shown the newest Nissan.
Reggie Bush is back in the Heisman House and USC fans could not be any happier.
