Major USC Football OT recruiting target de-commits from arch rival

Ex-USC football recruiting target Elijah Paige has likely now turned back into just USC football recruiting target, as he has announced his de-commitment from rival Notre Dame. Paige is a West Coast guy, coming from Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Going to USC would certainly be more convenient for him and his family, so maybe he'll be considering USC.

Also, he is Pinnacle teammates with five-star Tight End Duce Robinson (all recruiting ratings and rankings in article are as of 247Sports). Robinson, the No. 1 Tight End in the country for this 2023 recruiting class, is predicted to go to USC by all four 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions. If he commits, perhaps he'll recruit Paige himself.

Paige would be a massive get for USC. He's a four-star prospect and the No. 7 player in all of Arizona. There aren't too many four and five-star linemen out on the west coast, at either side of the ball. It's vital for USC to land the ones that are over here. Arizona may not be California, but it's still close enough for his family to come to games without needing to hop on a plane.

Probable USC football commit Elijah Paige has absolutely absurd length at 6-7, 304 pounds.

And Elijah Paige definitely is probable to commit to USC football. 76.5% of the 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction system has him to USC. In fact, the only two insiders there that predict Paige to go elsewhere (both to Notre Dame) made their predictions on June 7th or earlier. He really may be a Trojan come signing day.

USC would desperately need him as well. They only have one four-star lineman in this cycle, and he's a center. That of course means that they do not have any four-star exterior linemen. In fact, they only have one total offensive tackle in general. All of the 13 teams ahead of USC in the national 2023 class rankings have at least one more four-star recruit in their class than SC.

They need a commitment from Paige, and there's a good shot they'll get it. Especially if Robinson chooses to play football in college instead of baseball, and wants to go to USC and bring Paige with him. Those two appear to potentially be a package, and what an amazing one it would be.
