USC football dominated college football headlines on Tuesday, as Caleb Williams finally transferred to the Trojans.

We knew it would happen, but the process had taken a bit longer than expected, depending on who you talk to. Regardless, we all felt a sigh of relief when he officially made the move, and even some of the USC legends of the past took to social media to voice just how excited they are for this new era of USC football.

It wasn't just the great Matt Leinart to show appreciation for our new elite quarterback, but another previous SC elite QB as well:

USC football legends can't get enough of Caleb Williams following Lincoln Riley to SC.

Keyshawn Johnson has been very critical of USC football in the recent past due to poor head coaching from Clay Helton, but is feeling himself a little bit today.

Mark Sanchez, who was another QB legend at this program and won a Rose Bowl, is certainly going to be even more excited to tune into college football Saturdays with Williams meeting back up with Lincoln Riley:

And it's not just former SC stars who expressed this type of excitement for our new QB, but many others in the Trojan family. As we expected, Caleb's former OU target who also transferred to SC was stoked to hear the news:

Even CFB titans from other programs are eager for what USC is about to bring to the table.

This transfer now puts USC back atop the 247Sports transfer portal rankings, passing both LSU and Ole Miss in the process. Williams is likely to have an insane season for the Trojans, as he was with Riley for his true freshman season last year, and scored 27 total touchdowns (despite not starting until the second half of the season) and tossing just four interceptions. Williams averaged 9.1 passing yards through the air and 5.6 on the ground.

While SC still has to go out and play the games, the team appears ready to approach double-digit wins, and the roster is certainly not even finalized just yet.
