Betting analyst reveals crazy trend for betting on USC’s Week 1 matchup vs. Nevada
By Josh Yourish
The USC Trojans didn’t have any issues on offense in their 56-28 Week 0 win over San Jose State, but the defense looked a little bit questionable. Caleb Williams can score with anyone and probably outscore everyone, but while the defense is still an issue, Betsided betting analyst Iain MacMillan is playing the total.
The Trojans have another non-conference matchup this week against Nevada and Lincoln Riley will need to figure out his team’s defense or else this will be another shootout, and MacMillan isn’t so sure Riley will.

Let’s get into the odds for this one and I’ll tell you about the great trend that Betsided’s betting analyst dug up.
Nevada vs. USC odds, spread and total
Betting expert prediction for USC in Week 1
The defense is too big of an issue for Iain to trust USC to cover a massive spread in this one.
MacMillan said, “Now, when it comes to the game, I have the same concern that plenty of USC fans have. Can Lincoln Riley's defense stop Nevada to cover a massive 38.5-point spread? They couldn't do it last week against San Jose State and I'm not sure if they can do it against the Wolf Pack.”
So now to that trend which points to, well, points.
“I'm going to take the bet that has been a pure moneymaker for USC lately: the OVER.” MacMillan wrote, “It has hit in nine-straight games for the Trojans dating back to last season and hit last week as well.”
