While the graphic above says that Bruce Matthews played for the Tennessee Titans, he played with the Titans before they were the Titans. He was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft and played with the Oilers his whole career, even when they made the move to Tennessee and became the Titans.
Matthews was a very gifted offensive lineman who played just about every single position on the line. He started his career at right guard, then moved to right tackle and played a little center his first season. He then moved to left tackle, then back to right guard, and became a full-time center after that. He finally made the move to left guard before playing center the final year of his career. Talk about a versatile player that could do anything his team needed of him.
It shows in the accolades that Matthew received that he was a great player in the NFL. He was a 14-time Pro Bowl selection in his career, a seven-time First-Team All-Pro selection, and a three-time Second-Team All-Pro selection. He was finally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007 after retiring in 2001.
