When he isn't serving as the Las Vegas Raiders head coach, Pete Carroll is teaching a class on the USC campus. Titled The Game of Life, the former Trojan HC instructs and holds discussions with David Belasco, who is the adjunct professor of entrepreneurship, as well as Varun Soni, who is the university's dean of Religious and Spiritual Life, as shared by Sam Farmer and Gary Klein of the LA Times.

Enrolling (somehow) also comes with even greater bonuses, as Steve Kerr and Rainn Wilson are among the other guests that Carroll has invited to help with the course throughout the year. Little did the students know that gaining the needed three credits would then also mean the chance of hearing from Tom Brady directly.

The future Hall-of-Famer came on the screen to talk about adversity and some of the lessons he's learned along the way toward him being a great NFL player. It didn't stop there. Gavin Morris, the USC Trojans Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Player Relations, also shared a clip on X of JuJu Watkins joining the call.

Three incredible people in their own right in the world of athletics, in the same room, sharing their experiences and proving one of the more unique settings for a classroom possible.

Watkins asked about overcoming injuries and wanted to pick Brady's brain about the mental and physical hurdle of recovering from an ACL injury. While the former QB shared his approach and further talked about learning from others, this only further showcased what makes the university stand out from the rest.

The Place To Be

Having the ability of a former coach to teach a course while running a team full-time and being able to use his connections to help give students another piece of wisdom and being able to attract people who are willing to share from their knowledge base is a staple of USC.

Not that it doesn't occur at other institutions as well, but this is a prominent feature of what it means to be part of USC. Of the three known notable public figures in that space, two had direct Trojan connections. The constant effort to go the next step and continue to give back is something of a lost art in many other areas of life.

Those attending and being able to enroll in the class had an experience they will be able to cherish for life.
