USC will remember Tyler Vaughns making plays through contact while at the Coliseum. During Sunday's UFL game with the Arlington Renegades, the former Trojan made a tremendous catch that had many questioning why he isn't getting more serious consideration from NFL teams.

While navigating the pocket, quarterback Luis Perez threw a ball to Vaughns in the end zone. For most other receivers, the pass would have been just out of reach. This wasn't the case at all for the Projan, however.

In a great one-handed effort, Vaughns snagged the football out of the air and managed to cleanly come down with it for six. He proceeded to take his helmet off in a much-deserved celebration, likely exuding adrenaline, and almost astonished himself with what he had just pulled off.

As mentioned, something like this does not shock anyone who supports USC. As is, those who keep a close eye on the UFL know what Vaughns is capable of doing. Seemingly every game the wideout is making a highlight-worthy catch or showing off his physical style of football with more yards after the catch than most would be able to produce on a given play.

While at USC, he showed a lot of promise as a WR, making big plays and coming down with the football, especially in moments of the game when the USC offense truly needed it. He possesses an ability that is extremely difficult to find at any level of football.

Potential NFL look there for former USC receiver

Vaughns is able to consistently produce big numbers while making plays in high-leverage and high-impact spots while the game is still in the balance. Something like what fans saw while watching the TD from the Arlington game happening every once in a while would be a fluke. This has been a consistent effort and showing on his part since 2017 at USC.

It's unknown why he is not receiving more genuine interest from potential NFL teams. Here's hoping that with tape circulating of something like this, that Vaughs will get a genuine look again soon.
