Now-former USC Trojans Kiki Iriafen and Rayah Marshall were selected in Monday's WNBA Draft. In an incredible moment for the players, their names being called showed how meaningful achieving the goal of becoming a professional is for their lives and their families.

A great aspect of the event is the show of support from the fan base. For months, the players have received the support and shared many feelings of joy, anguish, and, at times, relief throughout the course of a season.

Whether it was for the final senior year, like Iriafen, or the entirety of her collegiate career, as in the case of Marshall, it's a proud moment for the Trojans to see two USC Trojans called by name to the stage and have their new team revealed in front of a national audience.

For most high-level athletes, that is the goal. Working up through the high school ranks, earning a spot on a college roster, and then turning pro when ready. Throughout the history of the NCAA, across all sports, there hasn't been a school that does it better than USC.

Between Troy Polamalu, Pamela McGee, Lindsay Mintenko, and so many more, the Trojans have consistently sent more athletes to the next level than everyone else. Oftentimes, they are high draft picks as well. For prospective talents looking to elevate their game to the next level, the Cardinal and Gold is the best place to best position yourself to pursue your athletic and academic dreams.

The history speaks for itself. With a proven track record and tradition, the impact of Troy can be seen at the next level throughout the entire sports landscape. Considering the backing and continued support from the fan base, that will only continue to further grow.

Monday night highlighted the two most recent successes of the program that does an excellent job of turning student-athletes into pros. Many times congratulations to Kiki Iriafen and Rayah Marshall and their families. Now with the Washington Mystics and Connecticut Sun, the USC Trojans family will continue to support and root for their continued careers as they Fight On!
