There are certain players who are a joy to listen to. When hearing them speak, it becomes very clear that they understand what is important and that they know how to best go about their journey. Not only are they looking to provide the best versions of themselves, but certain athletes also seem to have a better understanding of how a team can be best positioned for success.

Esun Tafa joined the USC J show on Wednesday. The two spoke on many aspects of the program. Including letting everyone know that he feels confident that Talanoa Ili will be a Trojan, the conversation geared more toward what this current and upcoming corps will need to do in order to find success.

Part of what should further excite USC fans is the intended stated goal of Tafa. He knows that the Trojans need to get back to winning national championships. This is being heard a lot from the recruits and commits. They know what the standard is, and they are willing to put that type of pressure on themselves. In fact, they are embracing it.

To get to that level, there needs to be a strong level of commitment. The dedication to one's body, to each other, and to the program has to be aligned within everyone in the building.

Why USC will be succesful

When hearing others claim that the early commits are meaningless, Tafa's words illustrate why those claims are completely unfounded. He and the rest of the future Trojans are ready to bring USC back into the top spot of college football.

Already supporting and building each other up before joining as student-athletes, there is a noticeable shift that is happening in Los Angeles. Tafa is working hard to be ready to go to battle in the trenches. With people like him on the team, USC will be an annual contender sooner rather than later.
