In order for any program to be successful, there needs to be a good working atmosphere from the top on downward. USC is looking to restore its image and bring back the way in which they once dominated the sport.
To do so, it takes all facets of Troy to be operating at a high level and firing on all cylinders.
As shared by the LA Times' writer Ryan Kartje, the Trojans invited the people who are currently working on the state-of-the-art facility to observe and take in the opening portion of Thursday's practice.
USCFootball.com's Connor Morrissette also provided a post on X that informed Trojan fans that the team also provided morning donuts.
Something like this speaks to the true appreciation that the program has for those who are putting in the work. Oftentimes, it can become too easy to overlook others and then underappreciate the contributions that are being made.
For USC to take the time to give people this gesture of kindness shows that much more as to the types of changes that are continuing to happen in Troy.
Important recognition from USC
For some, it may appear empty or like it is not a big deal. That could not be further from the truth. These are the types of things, particularly being invited to watch the opening parts of practice, that stick with people and that they will enjoy for a long time to come. Watching USC continue to find different ways to reinvent the program and the image that is being projected shows a lot of how coach Lincoln Riley is continuing to go about his business to ensure that the Trojans can reenter the national conversation as a true contender for the college football title.
Reaching out and showing this level of gratitude toward the workers is something that needs to be celebrated.
