Getting someone excited to join USC and eager to stay hungry as an athlete is the exact type of player that coach Lincoln Riley wants to bring to campus. The three-star junior out of John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, California, is someone who will look to make a name for himself as a Trojan when his senior season wraps up.

Part of the class of 2026, Williams is simply a playmaker. Regardless of which side of the ball he lines up on, the current Pathfinder can be seen making a play. Williams is also designated as an ATH at the moment. There is some legitimate two-way potential at the next level, even if it is only sparsely on one side of the ball, while holding a dominant presence on the other.

Either way, Williams knows that it's only the beginning of his journey as a student-athlete.

Defensively, he lines up in the trenches. With his quick, sudden burst off the line, he often finds himself in the backfield. The opposing ball carrier or quarterback very suddenly became acquainted with Williams during the high school games.

Offensively, he has lined up as a fullback, tailback, tight end, and receiver. He's even seen snaps come his way in something of a throwback to the wildcat formation. If it isn't obviously apparent, Williams is talented, and his coaches feel comfortable trusting him in a variety of roles and just look to get him the ball.

The work to achieve his ultimate goals only begins now for Williams, however. While speaking with

On The Map show co-hosts, he discussed some of the early choices he made in pursuing his athletic endeavors, electing to forego some of the other pastimes that others his age may be more focused on.

Well-rounded USC commit will translate as a college athlete

Especially being a multi-sport athlete, there isn't truly an offseason or off day for Williams. While listening to him, it's clear that while honored to be a USC commit, he knows that eventually arriving on campus as a player will only be one step in his career.

Still, having someone with his talent and level of awareness is often rare to find in anyone through all walks of life. Williams has a lot of potential, and playing for his hometown school will be a dream come true.

With his drive and determination, fans can expect Williams to continue to make plays at the next level.
