Four-star athlete Prophet Brown announced his commitment to USC football’s 2021 recruiting class.

Make that another four-star prospect who is on board USC football’s recruiting train for 2021.

On Sunday, running back and corner Prophet Brown announced his commitment to USC, bringing the Trojans’ recruiting class to 18.

Brown released a video thanking family, coaches and teammates at Monterey Trail in Elk Grove, California. It continued with a string of highlights from games and workouts.

“Without further ado, I will be continuing my academic and football career at the University of Southern California. Fight on!” Brown said.

What does USC football get in Prophet Brown’s commitment?

Brown is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete who brings homerun hitting ability to the table thanks to his top-tier speed at the running back position. He’s completed his skillset receiving passes as well. He posted five touchdowns and 343 yards receiving on 17 receptions last year. That went along nicely with 779 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground on 65 carries.

Further proving his athleticism, Brown picked off three passes and broke up five passes as a defensive back. As a kick returner, he averaged 34.2 yards per return.

It’s no wonder Brown ranks highly in the 247Sports composite. He sits 206th nationally while checking in at No. 15 among cornerbacks. He is 21st in the state of California.

Back in March, Brown released a Top 6 featuring Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Oregon, Notre Dame and USC. The Trojans came away with the commitment.

USC’s class of 2021 is now 18 strong. If Brown comes in at running back, he will help bolster depth along with fellow four-star commitment Brandon Campbell. The Trojans need that help with three of five scholarship running backs graduating after 2020.

If he joins up as a cornerback, Brown will make USC’s DB haul even more outstanding. The Trojans already have commitments from versatile athletes like Calen Bullock, Anthony Beavers, Jaylin Smith and Xamarion Gordon.
