“I am humbled and thankful to be in this position today. To God be the glory and through Him all things are possible. “Thank all the college coaches that have recruited me throughout this process. With that being said, I would like to announce that I am 100% Committed to The University of Southern California.”
At 6-foot-1, 294 pounds, Pepe is a three-star prospect who ranks No. 833 nationally in the 247Sports composite. He is the 67th-best defensive tackle on the board and stands 65th in the state of California.

Playing for St. John Bosco in 2018, he totaled 68 tackles with five tackles for loss and one sack as a junior. He also logged a forced fumble and a pass break up.
Pepe was pursued by several other Pac-12 rivals, with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal and Colorado.
USC has added several defensive tackles in recent recruiting classes, but you can never have too many big men in the trenches.

The Trojans brought in Dejon Benton for the class of 2019 and appear to be transitioning outside linebacker Stanley Ta’ufo’ou into a defensive lineman as well.
However, nose tackles like Brandon Pili, Jay Tufele and Marlon Tuipulotu are nearing the end of their college eligibility as well as approaching NFL eligibility.
The class of 2020 now numbers seven, headlined by quarterback Bryce Young, a four-star out of Mater Dei. Pepe is the first defensive lineman in the haul.
Last week, USC picked up commitments from three-star offensive linemen Joey Wright, out of Nevada, and Kyle Juergens, from San Juan Capistrano.
