It’s not often you see a program of USC’s caliber haul in a prospect who is highly acclaimed at two sports. But that happened Wednesday afternoon, when Moorpark’s Drake London committed to the Trojans.

A four-star receiver in football and four-star guard in basketball, London is set to join a high-profile two-sport club at USC that includes the likes of Adoree’ Jackson, Anthony Muñoz, Anthony Davis, Jack Del Rio and Zach Banner. Moreover, his pledge gave the Trojans the No. 1 recruiting class in hoops and added another blue chipper on the football side.

Needless to say, USC Twitter chimed in, after waiting for London to make his announcement on his own terms.

Here’s a look at some notable reactions to the latest Trojan, starting with the source:

With Drake’s commitment, head coach Clay Helton now has eight recruits verbally committed to the 2019 USC football recruiting class, headlined by four-star Hesperia offensive lineman Jason Rodriguez, and a now trio of receivers, including Utah’s Puka Nacua and San Juan Capistrano’s Munir McClain.

In basketball, London is the third commitment, along with five-star Onyeka Okongwu and four-star Isaiah Mobley. All three of Andy Enfield’s verbals are ranked nicely in the 247 Sports Composite, at 69 (London) or higher. As noted above, he won’t count as a basketball scholarship.
