USC Players Congratulate Adoree’ Jackson Thorpe Award On Social Media
After Adoree’ Jackson won the 2016 Jim Thorpe Award, teammates and fellow Trojans took to social media to congratulate the nation’s top defensive back.
USC’s Adoree’ Jackson became just the second Trojan to win the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the top defensive back in the country, on Thursday night.
Jackson’s exceptional 2016, which included four interceptions, 51 tackles and a wealth of highlights, has been rewarded with first team All-American nods from Sporting News, Walter Camp and CollegeSportsMadness.com.
The Thorpe Award is the centerpiece of Jackson’s honors, on top of recognition as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.
Here’s a look at the messages of congratulations sent Jackson’s way on the back of his big win.
Even Michigan’s Joudan Lewis, who was beaten out by Jackson for the trophy, took a moment to congratulate his rival.
Finally, Matt Leinart congratulated Jackson on the victory, while saying what the entire Trojan Family is likely thinking.
Jackson takes home the Thorpe and has the chance to nab another honor on Dec. 11 as a finalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
