Former USC linebacker Su’a Cravens will wear Sean Taylor’s rookie number with the Washington Redskins and more social media tidbits from the newest Projans.

When Su’a Cravens was drafted by the Washington Redskin in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, talk turned fairly quickly to what number he might wear in the pros.

The No. 21 worn by Cravens at USC was in homage to Washington great Sean Taylor, who was tragically killed in 2007. However, Cravens’ himself took to Twitter to say that wearing the number in the NFL was out of the question. Though not officially retired, no Redskins player has worn it since Taylor.

Instead, a perfect compromise was found. Cravens will wear No. 36, the number worn by Taylor as a rookie.

On Twitter, Cravens posted a message to the Washington community saying, “To the family of the late gr8 Sean Taylor and the @redskins fans, I will wear it with honor and make him proud.”

Another important tidbit from the Redskins’ roster, Cravens has been listed as a safety.

Former USC center Max Tuerk was also on social media following the draft, posting a picture of himself holding up a No. 3 jersey — representing his third round selection — under the San Diego sun.

What a past few days. Blessed to be a part of the Chargers organization. Thankful for everyone that helped along the way. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Kevon Seymour’s desired jersey

Sixth round pick Kevon Seymour doesn’t know what jersey he’ll wear with the Buffalo Bills, but he told a fan on Twitter that he has some thoughts on that subject.

Seymour’s desired jersey number is either No. 21 or 22.  At USC he wore No. 13.

As for his choices, the No. 21 is currently occupied by defensive back Javier Arenas. However, No. 22 is available.

Motivated Antwaun Woods

Defensive tackle Antwaun Woods had a tough lead up to the draft. After a stand out NFLPA Bowl, he suffered an injury during the NFL Combine and slipped out of the draft.

He was picked up by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent and took to Twitter to talk about motivation.

“Like I said before I’ve been proving people wrong my whole life! I’ve been here before more motivated than ever!” Woods wrote.
