Su’a Cravens was selected by the Washington Redskins in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, prompting a flurry of social media activity congratulating the player and analyzing the pick.

Su’a Cravens became the first USC player picked at the 2016 NFL Draft Friday, landing a home with the Washington Redskins in the second round.

Naturally, Twitter was quick to react to the selection as coaches and teammates sent Cravens congratulations and well-wishes.

Here’s a look at the best of the reaction:

First though, the avid social media user Cravens himself tweeted his own message after waiting the better part of the day to find out his NFL team.

The Redskins and USC sent out formal messages while Trojan head coach Clay Helton had a message for his star defender as well.

Teammates of Cravens as well as Trojans past and present were also quick to send love the new Redskin’s way.

And of course, the media and other observers wasted no time analyzing the ins and outs of the pick.

With Cravens’ pro career officially launched, now Trojans fans can turn their attention to the draft prospects of Max Tuerk, Cody Kessler, Kevon Seymour and the rest of the USC representatives waiting for their names to be called.
