Twitter Reacts to Oluwole Betiku Commitment to USC

Clay Helton’s first commitment as the full-time head coach at USC is a big one, as the Trojans got a verbal from five-star defensive end Oluwole Betiku on Christmas Day.

The wait for Betiku’s announcement went perhaps longer than expected on Christmas, as the Serra defender tweeted out his intentions to be a Trojan just after 5:00 p.m.

But for a team without a defensive coordinator, defensive line coach or even a known defensive plan, getting California’s top defensive player was well worth the wait.

Betiku is the second member of USC’s 2016 class to have formerly been committed to UCLA, joining wide receiver Michael Pittman.
