Twitter Reaction to Osa Masina’s Commitment to USC

Steve Sarkisian’s USC Trojans picked up a pivotal piece to their 2015 recruiting class puzzle on Friday morning. Highly coveted linebacker –a five-star by some publications– Osa Masina out of Salt Lake City has committed to the Trojans.

Masina is expected to be able to plug into the Trojans’ defense and play early, making his pickup one of the biggest so far in this cycle.

As always, Twitter had a lot to say on Masina commitment, with both pundits and fans chipping in. Here’s some of the highlights:

With commitment of Osa Masina, #USC is on the verge of one of its best recruiting classes in recent history.

#USC are down to the Big Four targets: Green, Marshall, Houston, Gustin. Currently, and technically, only 3 spots available.

Sarkisian, for all of his faults this past year, has really set USC up for success with extraordinary talent.
— Thanos (@FightOnTwist) January 23, 2015

USC's filthy rich recruiting class just got Richie Rich rich. Sark knows how to close out these recruits.
— Thanos (@FightOnTwist) January 23, 2015

You have to think that Sark's ability to bring in this many guys who all love each other's game will pay off when convincing some to stay
— Thanos (@FightOnTwist) January 23, 2015

Why wouldn't guys like Su'a want to stick around and take on Alabama in Arlington with some of these guys?

Osa Masina's recent announcement bodes well for #USC regarding another target, Porter Gustin. Their friendship is key http://t.co/qLqaouOwqG
— Max Meyer (@TheMaxMeyer) January 23, 2015

So Gustin & Green are due next for USC, too, right? Buddy buddy.
— Michael Felder (@InTheBleachers) January 23, 2015

I'm hearing that the #USC recruiting class will be ranked no. 2 on http://t.co/FoRv91ff50 shortly
— Chris Swanson (@ChrisPSwanson) January 23, 2015

With the talent coming back and a potential top 5 recruiting class, a playoff birth should be a real expectation for the Trojans next season

@ReignofTroy SC back to where they belong, the standard of college football!
— A. Casillas (@acrocket) January 23, 2015

@ReignofTroy great pickup. Who's not coming though? or who's getting left in cold.
— Bigbully22 (@JCPINON22) January 23, 2015

@ReignofTroy sort of feels like a package deal
— Ry (@JustRyCole) January 23, 2015

@ReignofTroy HUGE get....wanna see him against the spread NOW
— Ruben (@rubencito) January 23, 2015

@ReignofTroy Feels like a two for one with Porter Gustin. I'm still scared of Harbaugh going after Biggie #USC
— BRANDan Nubian (@consciousb) January 23, 2015

@ReignofTroy Love it, happy to have him aboard!✌️
