News of Byron Wesley‘s transfer surprised the USC twitterverse Wednesday afternoon, as the Trojans lost their leading scorer and rebounder of the 2013-14 season.
Wesley will graduate in May, then transfer to the school of his choice, leaving Andy Enfield, the unenviable task of replacing arguably his best returning player.
Here’s a round up of all the best twitter action:
Jacob Freedman of Neon Tommy and Galen Central gave the proverbial defeated shoulder shrug.
USC loses leading scorer Byron Wesley to transfer. Just another day in USC Basketball, really.

Max Meyer, also of Neon Tommy, on the other hand, was shocked and concerned.
Well that put quite a damper on #USC's basketball season for next year. Wesley is an unbelievably huge loss, and I didn't see this coming.

Man, still cannot get over how crushing a blow Byron Wesley dealt to USC. Enfield getting Elijah Stewart would soften the blow, but still...

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports began the speculation about Wesley’s stock in the summer transfer market.
The hottest transfer on the market? It could now be USC's Byron Wesley. Here's more @CBSSports http://t.co/QrIe3is9Io

Galen Central, meanwhile, speculated about potential replacement’s for Wesley’s scoring threat.
Wesley's loss is a back-breaker for Andy Enfield. Wills put a lot of pressure on Katin Reinhardt to carry scoring load next season.

Former Trojan Eric Wise, who transferred from UC Irvine to join USC in 2011, also weighed in.
