The 2014 NFL draft finally kicks off tonight inside Radio City Music Hall after months of speculation and anticipation. By the end of the night, 32 NFL hopefuls will see their dreams fulfilled and hear their names called as the elite of the first round. Among those hopefuls are two USC stars whose roads to the draft have followed different paths.

Of the 22 draft eligible Trojans, Marqise Lee and Marcus Martin are the most likely to be chosen on day one.

Lee was expected to be a top pick last year but an injury-plagued 2013 hurt his stock and the electric wide out is now pegged to go late in the first. Rumors of the Miami Dolphin’s interest could see him land in the middle of the round while his first round slide could also benefit him with a selection from Super Bowl contenders like the Seattle Seahawks and San Fransisco 49ers.

Martin’s decision to leave school early for the pros was a surprise, but he has proven the wisdom in that decision as his stock has risen. Considered one of the top centers available, he may have worked his way into a first round selection. The fact that he accepted a late invitation to New York for the ceremonies at Radio City Music Hall could be a clue.
