Silas Redd did not make an announcement regarding his future at Penn State as was anticipated on Monday, but according to Joe Schad of ESPN, he could very well be back in Troy in the near future:
Silas Redd leaving LA now. Solid lean to USC. Matt Barkley and Robert Woods spent tons of time with Silas.

Redd was still at SC on Monday, having arrived in LA on Saturday to visit the campus. Last week Kiffin flew out to Connecticut to present Redd with a powerpoint and videos about what he could expect if he transferred to USC, and reports suggested that Redd had a really good time while in CA this weekend.
So much so, that Schad says remaining at Penn State might be a tough sell for head coach Bill O’Brien:
Bill O'Brien will probably get one final swing at Silas Redd but it's an uphill battle.

Redd transferring to USC would be monumental for depth at running back, the one position that USC currently has no room for error in. Throwing him in the mix could really improve USC’s championship hopes, and this idea is not lost on Redd:
Silas Redd may view this as a choice he has to make; to have the best chance to win and join fellow NFL prospects in LA

Sunday afternoon, Torrodney Prevot committed to USC, taking the 18th and final scholarship spot in the class of 2013. That suggested there would be no room for Redd to join this year, as USC is not allowed to go over the scholarship count due to sanctions. There are still a few loopholes to bring Redd in, and the fact that he is still heavily leaning to USC implies that the Trojans may have found a way to exploit one.
Schad also tweeted that we can expect to close the book on the saga that is Silas Redd “early” this week.
UPDATE: Michael Lev of the Orange County register tweeted that Redd will announce his decision on Tuesday night.
