Korey Foreman had missed close to two weeks of USC football fall camp (or at least close to two weeks of practice that media could see), and it was certainly not a good sign for this defense.
Foreman, the former No. 2 overall player in the country (all recruiting ratings and rankings in article are as of 247Sports), is going to need to play to his potential if this defense wants to have what it takes to win the Pac-12. Him missing out on so much fall camp time isn't cause for panic just yet, but it is FAR from ideal. He came back to the field on Saturday, though, which was much-needed news.
Because, while 'fall camp is over,' there are still almost two weeks until the season (two weeks from when he returned until the first game). There's still plenty of practice time and opportunity for Foreman to gain benefits from in these next two weeks, and it's important for Foreman to be out there. He's not just front-running and bailing on practice until the season starts.
Korey Foreman still has time to help prove himself for USC football in these next two weeks.
Korey Foreman only had seven tackles for USC football last year, and only 3.5 for loss. He had just 2.5 sacks, and it all goes to show that his development needs to get on schedule this offseason. So far, it probably hasn't just yet with all his missed time. With him returning, though, he has the chance to right the ship--at least to an extent.
Because it's true that Foreman hasn't missed any games this year. Again, there isn't any reason to panic just yet. The No. 12 recruit in 247Sports history, he's FAR too talented to give up on or be frustrated in due to missed time in the offseason. Watch him play this year and see how he does. After all, he did ball out in the spring game. The limitless ceiling is and will always be there.
