Ex-USC basketball standout extended by Nike to continue as 'face' of iconic Kobe line
One of the the NBA's best players and former USC basketball star, DeMar DeRozan, recently had the best season of his 13-year career for the Chicago Bulls. Not only did DeRozan make the All-Star team last season, but he was also nominated to the All-NBA 2nd team. These are tremendous accomplishments for DeRozan as he continues to represent the USC name.
Additionally, DeMar DeRozan broke many of Michael Jordan's records. DeRozan may have had one of the greatest regular seasons ever for the Chicago Bulls since Jordan. Furthermore, one player who has inspired DeRozan throughout his basketball career has been NBA legend, Kobe Bryant.
It has been made official that DeRozan has signed a new four-year deal to remain with Nike. Within this deal, DeRozan will be the 'face' of Kobe Bryant's iconic sneaker line with Nike. Bryant's sneakers are not only worn by hundreds of athletes across the NBA but also by millions of NBA fans across the world.

It is prominent that DeRozan's ties are remaining in Los Angeles as he grew up in Compton, as well as attended USC.
Currently, DeMar DeRozan may be the best athlete in professional sports to attend USC. In addition, DeRozan had a phenomenal college basketball career as he averaged 13.9 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting an efficient 52.3% from the field. DeRozan also received many honors throughout his college basketball career such as Pac-12 All-Freshman, and Pac-12 Tournament MVP.
After playing just one season at USC, DeRozan declared for the 2009 NBA Draft. Since being drafted 9th overall, DeRozan has never looked back. USC helped DeRozan prosper in the NBA. DeRozan is now a five-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA, and one of the most talented players in all of basketball. As the Chicago Bulls are competing for a championship, DeRozan takes pride in representing USC at the highest level.
