One thing that is of course even more likely, is that Dart will be finding a new home for 2022.
While there are many possibilities pertaining to where Dart could be heading after entering the transfer portal, these three spots appear most likely, and for different reasons.
No. 3 realistic destination for USC quarterback Jaxson Dart: UCLA Bruins
Editor's update: Dorian Thompson-Robinson has now officially announced that he will be returning to UCLA for 2022.
Jaxson Dart could possibly leave USC to go across town and play for UCLA.
This is because Dart narrowed down his recruitment choices to USC and UCLA before he signed with the Trojans, as LA Times National College Sports Reporter Brady McCollough reminded us:
After all, UCLA starting QB from last year Dorian Thompson-Robinson looks like he might not come back next year. And, despite landing a transfer from former UCF QB Dillon Gabriel, he actually transferred a second time this offseason to leave the Bruins for Oklahoma.
Dart would have a chance to receive little competition for a starting spot if he takes off for UCLA, and he could possibly win a competition with DTR if he decides to stay. UCLA understandably liked Dart as a recruit, and now he has starting experience at a better program. They will likely make a push for the former four-star QB out of Corner Canyon High School (all recruiting ratings and rankings in article are as of 247Sports).
