During the first half of USC Football's dominant win over Arizona State this week, ASU Defensive Lineman Nesta Jade Silvera poured water on SC QB Caleb Williams after he ran out of bounds at the ASU sideline:

It was surprising on many different levels. First of all, it was surprising because typically one doesn't make this type of move when 1-3, and losing in the game. Second of all, one typically doesn't make this move to a player who had been SHREDDING his team all game, which Williams had been doing. Third of all, it was surprising that no penalty was called after this classless move.

The best part had to be Williams' reaction, however, as he appears to just laugh at the pathetic move that a player who wasn't even in the game tried to do.

Williams was cooking ASU all half, completing 15 of 23 passes in the first half for 217 passing yards (9.4 yards per pass attempt). He also rushed for 33 yards on five carries in the half. He scored three touchdowns in the first two quarters (two passing). It was a smart move for Williams to laugh at the embarrassing move by the D-Lineman and just continue dominating the Sun Devils.

And USC Football QB Caleb Williams certainly continued to dominate the Sun Devils.

Caleb Williams finished with an astonishing performance for USC Football. He connected on 27 passes out of 37 attempts for 348 yards on 9.4 yards per attempt. He tossed three TD passes and only threw one pick. He ran the ball eight times for 44 yards and had that rushing touchdown. It's safe to say that it wasn't wise for Silvera to poke the bear here.

Williams just responded by leading SC to outscore ASU 21-8 the rest of the way. As for Silvera, he really struggled in the contest, totaling four tackles with none for loss and didn't hurry Williams once. He was even called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at the end of the game after a USC touchdown, which was also interesting.

USC is now 5-0 on the season, keeping ASU with one win at 1-4. The Trojans will stay home this upcoming weekend for a potential trap game against the 4-1 Washington State Cougars.
