Which Trojans are the most likely to represent USC Football on the 2017 All-Pac-12 teams? There’s no shortage of candidates in Troy.

When it comes to putting players on the All-Conference team, USC Football has a strong track record.

The Trojans had eight selections on the All-Pac-12 first and second teams in 2016 and it stands to reason even more wearing cardinal and gold could make the cut if they live up to expectations in 2017.

Here’s a look at USC’s All-Conference candidates for the coming season:

Sam Darnold | Quarterback

Quarterback Sam Darnold is the favorite for the Heisman Trophy, so it should be no shock that he is the biggest shoe-in among USC’s All-Pac-12 candidates.

A dynamic and instinctual playmaker being compared to Andrew Luck, the 2017 version of Darnold should only improve upon the 3,086 yards and 31 touchdowns he threw for as a redshirt freshman.

Competition: While Darnold may be the QB getting all the focus this offseason, if he wants to secure first team honors in the Pac-12 he can’t rest on his laurels. Washington’s Jake Browning had the best quarterback rating in the conference last year, threw for more touchdowns and returns on a team which went to the College Football Playoff last year.

And he’s not the only elite quarterback who could top the Pac-12 passing charts in 2017. Washington State’s Luke Falk is a veteran who could finally get his due while a healthy Josh Rosen could always live up to the hefty expectations which followed him from high school.
