Sept. 21, 2014: Tre Madden and Lamar Dawson remain in doubt for the upcoming game against Oregon State, while Devian Shelton and Greg Townsend Jr. are set to return. Walk-on wide receiver Christian Tober is officially out for the season. >>>Read more.
Sept. 9, 2014: Steve Sarkisian was pleased that the Trojans emerged from the Stanford game without any extra injury concerns, though it remains unlikely that Tre Madden and Lamar Dawson will play this week against Boston College. Sept. 2, 2014: Leonard Williams and Damien Mama left practice with an ankle and knee injury respectively during Tuesday’s practice while Cody Kessler missed the day after a procedure on his toe, though Steve Sarkisian noted none of the injuries were considered serious. >>>Read more.
Aug. 27, 2014: Steve Sarkisian updated the statuses of several players Wednesday, including Khaliel Rodgers, who will be a game-time decision for Saturday, Tre Madden, who remains in a boot and will be cautiously worked back, and Jordan Simmons who is out for week 1 but is close to a return. >>>Read more.
Aug. 26, 2014: Josh Shaw suffered high ankle sprains in both legs over the weekend and will likely be out for four-t0-six weeks, though the circumstances that caused the injures have been called into question. >>>Read more.
Aug. 22, 2014: Steve Sarkisian announced that Friday that Tre Madden’s turf toe will make him a game-time decision against Fresno State. It was also confirmed that linebacker Lamar Dawson will likely miss the first three games of the season. >>Read more.
Aug. 20, 2014: Running back Tre Madden has a boot on his foot due to turf toe. He suffered the injury during the Trojan’s Monday scrimmage at the Coliseum and there is no timetable for his return. >>via Michael Lev(@MichaelJLev).
Aug. 19, 2014: Offensive lineman Khaliel Rodgers sprained his knee during Monday’s scrimmage and is expected to be out 10-14 days. With that timetable he could be available to start in USC’s season opener against Fresno State. >>via Scott Wolf(@insideUSC).
Aug. 16, 2014: Defensive lineman Leonard Williams has been limited of late due to a sore shoulder, but told reporters Saturday that he’s not injured, just battling through soreness and irritation. >>Read more.
Aug. 16, 2014: The Trojans were hit with a trio of ankle injuries, as running back Justin Davis, offensive lineman Damien Mama and rush end J.R. Tavai all left Saturday’s practice early. Mama’s twist up looked to be the most severe as he was on the ground for an extended period, but Sarkisian stressed and none of the three are believed to be serious. >>via Ryan Abraham(@insidetroy).
Aug. 12, 2014: Safety Su’a Cravens and tight end Bryce Dixon have minor groin injuries. Cravens missed practice with a groin strain, while Dixon was pulled mid-session. >>via Ryan Abraham(@insidetroy).
Aug. 10, 2014: Strongside outside linebacker Jabari Ruffin injured his knee and needed to be carted off the field during Sunday’s morning practice session. It was not initially thought to be serious, but news broke Sunday night after tests had revealed that Ruffin has torn ligaments in his knee and would miss the entire 2014 season. He’ll have two years of eligibility left starting in 2015. >>Read More.
Aug. 10, 2014: USC lost another nose tackle, as Cody Temple missed practice after suffering a concussion. In his place, Delvon Simmons got reps at nose tackle. Temple’s concussion leaves the Trojans without a single healthy nose tackle, as Antwaun Woods(elbow) and Kenny Bigelow(ACL) are currently out injured. [via>> via Michael Lev(@MichaelJLev)]
Aug. 8, 2014: Starting nose tackle Antwaun Woods left Friday afternoon’s fall practice early, with his left arm in a sling. According to head coach Steve Sarkisian, Woods is expected to miss one to two weeks with an elbow injury, after X-rays proved to be negative. >> Read more.
