Cellphones and cameras are prohibited from being used while watching practice.

If you’ve never attended practice before, it’s a unique way to connect with the Trojans as they prepare for the coming season.

A ground-level view at Howard Jones Field can provide an inside look at assistant coaches working with individual units and players. On the other hand, practice at the Coliseum is an interesting, lowkey way to experience the historic stadium.

While marking the end of open camp practices, Aug. 19 is also the date head coach Clay Helton is expected to name his starting quarterback with two weeks to get ready for USC’s season opener on on Sept. 3 against Alabama at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
