Four-star power forward Lance Thomas named USC basketball among his Top 4 schools, along with Florida, Miami and Louisville.

USC football has done a great job recruiting Georgia over the last two cycles. Now USC basketball is looking to follow suit, making the Top 4 for Norcross power forward Lance Thomas.

Thomas’ announcement on Twitter was simple three-emoji message: basketball, exclamation points, blessings.

A graphic revealed the Final 4 in the competition for his signature, including USC, Florida, Miami and Louisville.

USC is a favorite to land the four-star power forward. At 6-foot-10, 210 pounds, he is considered the 16th best player at his position, the 12th best player in Georgia and the 75th best player in the nation, according to the 247 Sports composite.

Andy Enfield and his staff recruited exceptionally well last year, signing four players for the class of 2016. Four-star guard Jonah Mathews headlined that class along with three-star guard De’Anthony Melton, three-star forward Harrison Henderson and three-star forward Nick Rakocevic.

The Trojans have also added transfers Shaqquan Aaron from Lousiville, a shooting guard who sat out last season, and Charles Buggs from Minnesota, a graduate transfer forward eligible to play immediately, to bolster a squad which has seen its fair share of departures going the other way.

USC had point guard Julian Jacobs and forward Nikola Jovanovic opt to leave for the NBA this offseason. The Trojans also lost forwards Darion Clark and Malik Martin as well as guards Katin Reinhardt and Malik Marquetti to transfer.

Former five-star Duke point guard Derryck Thornton has also transferred to USC, though he will have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules.
