Ware is a three-star back with a host of scholarship offers from nationally ranked programs, though USC and Iowa have had the most buzz of late. Currently, 76 percent of analysts on The Crystal Ball at 247Sports have Ware becoming a Hawkeye.
The Trojans will be looking for a different fate, in addition to getting their first running back commitment of the 2015 class.Back in February during his National Signing Day press conference, USC head coach Steve Sarkisian mentioned that it was his goal to sign two backs in the upcoming class, as current starters Javorius ‘Buck’ Allen and Tre Madden are now upperclassmen.
With the transfer of Ty Isaac to Michigan earlier this offseason, the Trojans have had to improvise for running back depth beyond Allen, Madden and sophomore Justin Davis.
That has brought Anthony Brown from cornerback to running back in summer workouts, and fullback Soma Vainuku is expected to see time at tailback as he did sparingly late last season, and again under Sarkisian this spring.
Currently the Trojans have 11 commitments to the 2015 class, with dual-threat quarterback Sam Darnold being the most recent pledge.
