Roy Hemsley, Four-Star OT, Commits to USC

Steve Sarkisian picked up his fifth commitment for the 2015 class in four-star offensive tackled Roy Hemsley out of the Winward School in Los Angeles.

Hemsley is a four-star according to Scout, though Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN rate him as a three-star offensive lineman. All services rate him as one of the top 50 players in California, though his positional ranking varies greatly, from Scout’s No. 21 to ESPN’s No. 44.

At 6’7, 270 pounds, Hemsley is a physical presence for new offensive line coach Tim Drevno to work with as he attempts to bring the same physical style he applied with Stanford and the San Fransisco 49ers to USC.

Drevno and Sarkisian have already secured the commitment of another offensive tackle five-star Chuma Edoga out of Powder Springs, Georgia. Along with those men in the trenches, the USC’s 2015 class includes two quarterbacks, Ricky Town and David Sills, and Taeon Mason, a cornerback.

The class of 2015 is USC’s first free from sanctions, allowing the Trojans to fill up a 25-man class for the first time in three years.
