USC Football: Fall Camp Set to Open August 4th

USC’s first spring football camp under new head coach Steve Sarkisian finished just a few days ago, and the 2014 NFL schedule was released today, but you can already start marking dates on your USC football calendars. According to Rich Hammond of the Los Angeles and Orange County Registers, Troy is expected open fall camp on Monday, August 4th.

That’s a week after the annual Pac-12 Media Days. Per Bruce Feldman, the event will now take place over the course of two days, which are slated to be July 23rd and 24th at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

As for fall camp, Sarkisian has maintained that media access will be limited for game-week practices, but fall camp should operate in a similar fashion to the just-concluded spring session.

There will be one key change for Sarkisian’s tenure however, as he’s brought back afternoon practices. Lane Kiffin instilled a morning practice schedule for the 2012 season, and carried it over to last season.

USC’s 2014 season begins on August 30th at the Coliseum against the Fresno State Bulldogs. The kickoff and broadcast information is still to be announced there’s no tentative date for its release.

You may now start your fall camp countdown at 102 days.
