Beginning on Friday, USC is back on the road for another three-game Pac-12 series, this time facing the Stanford Cardinal.
The Trojans opened conference play last week at No. 9 Oregon and after winning the first game of the series, they then dropped the next two.
After the weekend series, the Trojans hosted Stony Brook on Tuesday, but lost, 4-3, which pushed their losing streak to three games.
For the Cardinal, it’s the start of Pac-12 play and they are back on the diamond after a 12-day break for finals. They took two of three against Kansas when they last played and are just 4-3 at home.
With an overall record of 7-8, the Cardinal have been inconsistent thus far, managing to win two consecutive games at multiple points, only to follow it with two or three-game losing streaks.
Alex Dunlap leads the Cardinal with a .367 average and he is followed by Alex Blandino, who is hitting . 365 and is tied for the the team lead with 12 RBIs.
Kevin Swick continues to lead the Trojans, who are 1-4 on the road, in batting average (.375) and slugging (.450). Dante Flores and Timmy Robinson lead the Trojans with 12 RBIs.
