USC Spring Football: Multiple Recruits Visit Saturday's Practice

USC’s spring camp saw pads for the first time on Saturday, in addition to a slew of recruits on hand at Howard Jones Field. A bulk of the Trojans’ local 2014 class stopped by, as tweeted by Gerard Martinez of USCFootball.com.

It’s nothing new for the Trojans, as the local guys have been at Howard Jones a couple of times this week to try to further acclimate themselves to the new coaching staff.

On Thursday, USC Athletics posted a photo of Adoree’ Jackson and Damien Mama at practice.

In addition to already signed recruits, targets have visited this week as well. Recently offered Westlake quarterback Malik Henry attended Tuesday’s practice, while Ben Humphreys stopped by on Saturday.

Humphreys, a four-star outside linebacker from USC’s most notable pipeline Mater Dei, has yet to be offered a scholarship from the Trojans He holds offers from four Pac-12 schools including Sarkisian’s former employer, Washington, though that offer from the Chris Petersen staff last month, as first reported by ESPN’s Blair Angulo.

Linebacker is a position of need for the Trojans in the class of 2015, considering that two returning starters, Hayes Pullard and Lamar Dawson, will be seniors come the fall.

USC’s class of 2015 currently stands at just three commitments, with Ricky Town, David Sills and Taeon Mason pledged as of now. The Trojans can bring in a full class of 25 scholarship players for the first time since before sanctions were levied on USC by the NCAA.
