The Women of Troy defeated Arizona State last night to get the right to face the powerhouse and No. 4-ranked Stanford Cardinal in the Women’s Pac-12 Tournament’s semifinals, at 6:00 p.m. Saturday night at KeyArena in Seattle. The winner will reach tomorrow’s final, against the winner of Oregon State and Washington State, who play later tonight in the second part of a doubleheader.
USC has had a strong year in Cynthia Cooper-Dyke’s first season as the head coach of her alma mater, with a 20-12 overall record, and a 11-7 mark in Pac-12 play. But the Women of Troy will have to be up for the tall task of facing Stanford, who have only lost to USC once in the last 10 years. Tara VanDerveer’s Cardinal are 29-2 and beat the Trojans by a combined 27 points in two meetings this year.
Tip-off at KeyArena is set for 6:00 p.m. and will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks, which currently is not available on DirecTV.
For P12N subscribers, the game is being streamed live and legally on the Pac-12’s website, though you’ll have to provide authentication that your cable provider both carries the network, and that you’re subscribed to it. You can do so by simply logging into your cable provider’s website, through the Pac-12’s video player.
