The start of USC spring practice is exactly one week away and we now have confirmed dates and viewing policies for the first taste of Trojan football in 2014.
There are 15 total practices and all but one will be open to fans.
March 11, 13, 15, 25, 27, 29
April 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19 (Spring game)
The first 200 fans who want to view practice each day in person can do so from Dedeaux Deck and Prior Plaza, which overlook Howard Jones Field where most practices will take place. The only exception is March 27 when viewing will be unavailable due to a previously scheduled event.
Two practices will take place at the Coliseum, March 29 and April 19. Both will be open to fans as well, however, fans must purchase a $10 ticket for the Spring Game.
Weekday practices begin at 4:00 p.m and should last around two hours, ending at 6:00 pm. Practices on Saturday kickoff at 11:00 am while the Spring Game will start at 3:00 pm.
Steve Sarkisian indicated at his first press conference that he wanted practices to be open like they were during the Pete Carroll era. Unfortunately this open-but-apart structure is as close as we’re going to get to the spectacles of Carroll practices until NCAA sanctions are lifted. For now, fans are restricted from field level at any point before, during or after practice.
