Rivals released an update to their rankings of the top 2015 prospects and one name who is of interest to USC, corner back Isaiah Langley (Pleasanton, Calif./Foothill), made a big jump. Langley is now ranked No. 129, moving up 73 spots from his previous rank.
Langley currently holds scholarship offers from several programs including, Arizona State, Florida State, Georgia, UCLA and USC.
According to Adam Gorney, Langley presents plenty of intrigue:
“Langley looked good at the Army National Combine and has quickly been landing offers from national programs. He has tremendous athleticism even if he’s still learning the position and because he can still be molded into a top player, it’s going to be interesting to see how he progresses. A lot of people say Langley is the next big thing out of the Bay Area and I believe it after watching his highlight tape. He can play.”
The Trojans signed a bevy of defensive backs in 2014 and currently have a verbal commit from 2015 corner back Taeon Mason (Pasadena, Calif./Muir).
Given that Steve Sarkisian will have 25 scholarships at his disposal and the amount of talent available at the corner back position, Langley and others figure to be heavily targeted again by the Trojans for the 2015 class.
