NFL Draft 2014: Marqise Lee, Marcus Martin Ranked Among Mike Mayock’s Top Players By Position

NFL Network’s draft guru Mike Mayock released his position rankings for the 2014 NFL draft with a couple familiar names in the mix.

Marqise Lee, expected to be USC’s lone first rounder, is Mayock’s second-rated receiver behind Clemson’s Sammy Watkins.

Wide receiver
1. Sammy Watkins, Clemson
2. Marqise Lee, USC
3. Mike Evans, Texas A&M
4. Kelvin Benjamin, Florida State
5. Jarvis Landry, LSU

At the center position, Marcus Martin took the top spot as his ratings continue to justify his early departure from the Trojans despite an extra year of eligibility.

Center
1. Marcus Martin, USC
2. Weston Richburg, Colorado State
3. Travis Swanson, Arkansas
4. Bryan Stork, Florida State
5. Gabe Ikard, Oklahoma

Lee and Martin are among seven Trojans who will be making an appearance at this month’s NFL combine as they attempt to show off their skills and earn a place in the draft. Morgan Breslin, a combine snub, could also find himself a home in the NFL come draft day in May.

Like Robert Woods before him, Lee was an electric scene-stealer as a freshman and sophomore at USC, but struggled in his junior year as injuries and an at-times dysfunctional offense hurt his production.

Martin started 13 of USC’s 14 games at center, but suffered an injury early on against UCLA and missed out on the Trojan’s Las Vegas Bowl victory over Fresno State.
