One day after USC landed what many consider a top-1o recruiting class, Tee Martin was once again recognized for his recruiting prowess.
Scout.com released their list of recruiters of the year by conference, and for the Pac-12, they gave that title to Martin, who was instrumental in getting commitments from Adoree’ Jackson, Damien Mama and Juju Smith
Here’s what Scout.com had to say about the ace recruiter:
One of only two holdovers from Lane Kiffin’s staff to Steve Sarkisian, Martin was key on a number of recruits, but none bigger than the top two players in California, Adoree Jackson and Juju Smith, the five-star prospects who the Trojans landed on Signing Day.
Martin’s contributions with the Trojans have also been seen with the production from the wide receivers. Marqise Lee set Trojan records and was the recipient of the 2012 Biletnikoff Award.
Scout’s recognition of Martin follows 247 Sports ranking Martin as the No. 2 recruiter in the nation and No. 1 in the Pac-12 on Wednesday.
When Steve Sarkisian was hired at USC, Martin was the first coach announced as being retained under the new regime.
Scout listed Stanford’s Lance Anderson and UCLA’s Demetrice Martin, a former Trojan assistant coach, as honorable mentions.
