Adoree’ Jackson on Unofficial Visit to USC, UCLA Up Next

The recruiting of Adoree’ Jackson keeps adding tension as we approach his ESPNU announcement on National Signing Day. After reports came out that Jackson would be home for the weekend and not exhaust his final official visit, multiple reports have leaked Saturday night that have the highly touted five-star recruit seeing both USC and UCLA this weekend.

Per reports from 247′s Scott Schrader and Rivals’s Adam Gorney, Adoree’ Jackson is on an unofficial visit at USC tonight –Saturday night– and will be on an unofficial visit to UCLA on Sunday.

Jackson is currently down to four schools, with LSU and Florida still in the mix, in addition to both USC and UCLA, with the LSU Tigers being the only school that Jackson officially visited. The unofficial visits this weekend could be seen as Jackson favoring the Trojans or Bruins, though his lean has been impossible to predict for over a year now.

Zach Abolverdi of the Gainesville Sun sees the visits as a giant red flag for the Florida Gators, while 247 ponders if it’s “kill shot” by Steve Sarkisian and the Trojans.

As always with Adoree’ Jackson, we’ll have to wait and see. And check his Twitter and Instagram accounts. Or just refresh them constantly.

UPDATE: Here’s what Jackson has tweeted about tonight, including a shoutout to Serra High teammate Dwight Williams.

Interesting development. Can’t decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing for USC or UCLA though. We’ve heard of recruits turning down schools in person before, I wouldn’t be surprised if these were “OK…tell me one last thing, because I’m leaning the other way” visits. It could be. OR…AJax’s recruitment has been so unpredictable it’s creating the need for elaborate explanations.

It so needs to be NSD already.

Well, I would say this spells good Juju (see what I did there?) for the Trojans, but Sunday’s visit to UCLA worries me.

The Bruins suddenly have the feel of a Cinderella team during March Madness.

Stranger things have happened. Still, getting him on campus this weekend is a huge coup regardless of where he goes tomorrow.

        • Hank Shaw

          I can agree there.

      • Hank Shaw

UCLA does get the last say, assuming he doesn’t go to USC or UCLA again on Monday/Tuesday. That’s significant for Cinderella.

    • Hank Shaw

Hard to say, but you said it yourself when you said it’s unpredictable.

I really don’t know what to expect anymore. I really don’t. Still though, him being on campus is a huge thing in of itself. He’s at Florida. He’s not at LSU. And he’s barely been to UCLA.

    • Alicia de Artola

That’s what makes his final four so odd. Ucla seems totally out of no where

        Unless it isn’t…

          Meaning?

          • Matthew Moreno

Maybe UCLA isn’t as random as many believe.

          • http://fansided.com/ Michael Castillo

Oh, well yeah. Like we said before. The longer that UCLA stays in it, the more of a player they can become, despite all of the reports painting the picture that it’s Florida vs. Tennessee, or Florida vs. USC vs. Tennessee, or LSU vs. Florida, or now…USC vs. UCLA. Truth is that no one knows anything, and the Bruins have to have stuck to his top list for a reason.

Those tweets with him and Dwight Williams are just…concerning. Could DW turn him? Isn’t that what SC got Jalen Greene for??

        • Matthew Moreno

Maybe we’ll find out if Adoree’ likes Jordan Lasley or Dwight Williams better than Jalen Greene and Olajuwon Tucker.
