While highly-touted recruits Adoree‘ Jackson, Juju Smith and Damien Mama will pledge their names to schools with live announcements on ESPNU, Prime Ticket in Los Angeles will air a Signing Day special highlighted by an appearance from USC’s 2015 quarterback commit Ricky Town, and 2014 target Jabril Frazier.
According to high school football guru Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times, Town will talk about his flip from Alabama to USC, which was verbally finalized this past weekend while on an unofficial visit. Town’s the second commitment to the class of 2015, joining fellow quarterback David Sills.
Frazier, a three-star linebacker from Verbum Dei, will likely be deciding between taking a greyshirt at USC or enrolling this fall at Boise State. Should Frazier choose the Trojans, he would not enroll at USC until the spring 2015 semester, making him a mid-year enrollee counted towards the 2015 recruiting class.
With low numbers due to a sanction on scholarships, Steve Sarkisian and his staff likely won’t have the leeway to bring Frazier on immediately, therefore making the greyshirt a possibility.
The two-hour Prime Ticket Signing Day special will air starting a 1:00 p.m. Pacific in Southern California. Other players making their announcement on the show include Tre Watson and Rashaad Penny.
