Mama officially visited the USC campus over the Jan. 24 weekend, but had some Trojan fans worried as he then made an unofficial visit to UCLA early in the week.
He is part of the “Uce Crew”, which is a group of Polynesian athletes who have their sights set on taking college football by storm.
With some recent losses in the recruiting cycle, getting Mama in the fold is imperative for Steve Sarkisian.
The 6-5 lineman has had a strong interest in becoming a Trojan, which may in part be to the Trojans currently having fellow Uce Crew members, Toa Lobendahn (La Habra, Calif./La Habra) already enrolled and Viane Talamaivao (Corona, Calif./Centennial) set to join him come Feb. 5.
After receiving disappointing news with respect to Michiah Quick (Fresno, Calif./Central East), being named by Mama as a finalist is key with signing day only one week away.
Mama will announce his college decision on National Signing Day.
